Technical SEO still matters. Clean site structure, fast load times, proper schema markup. These get you into the index. But they do not get you into the answer. The gap between being indexed and being recommended is filled entirely by brand positioning.

The data is clear. Brands with cross-platform consistency are 6.5 times more likely to appear in AI answers. That consistency is not a technical metric. It is a brand metric. When an AI model cross-references your LinkedIn, website, and press coverage and finds alignment, it trusts you.

Roughly sixty to seventy percent of optimization factors work for both SEO & AI search. But the remaining thirty percent is where brands win or disappear. That gap is filled by brand positioning and the extractability of your story.
